Maternity photoshoot
Congratulations on your pregnancy!
Your to-do list is surely a mile long as you get ready for your child to join your family and the rest of the world.
A professional maternity shoot may seem like just one more thing to check off your list, but it may be the ideal opportunity to be reminded of the strength and beauty of your body as you go through your pregnancy.
To commemorate the joy of welcoming a new child into your life with your partner and family, you deserve to have this unforgettable moment in your life documented.
If this is your first time having a maternity session, you might not know what to expect or how to get ready. Hope this page will help you to find the answers to most of your questions :)
When?
The majority of maternity photo sessions occur while the new mother is between 25 and 36 weeks pregnant (about 6 to 8 months).
If you are expecting twins, you might want to plan the shoot around the 20-week mark.
What do I need to wear?
Choose your outfit for the photos with an emphasis on comfort and highlighting your gorgeous bump.
Remember, too, that you are NOT limited by your maternity clothing. Think about renting or obtaining a beautiful dress. Otherwise, choose the clothes that is most comfortable for you, it can be even casual outfit. During my photoshoots I'm open to several ourfits, so that you have a lot of pictures to choose from.
Think about your bras and underwear as well. For instance, you wouldn't want to wear dark panties with a white outfit since they would show through the cloth.
My recommendation is:
1st outfit is a dress (you can buy in any store like Amazon, Zara, H&M, etc., without removing a tag, so you can return it back after).
2d outfit can be jeans + bra.
Also, we have dresses for rent ($50). Check my highlight stories on Instagram.
What my partner/kids need to put on?
Planning could involve choosing complementary colours for your attire if your partner or other children will be appearing in the shots. There's no requirement that everyone wear similar shirts. Instead, create a colour palette so that everyone may base their outfit selections on it. It's better to use pastel/light colours.
What is important to say to me (photographer)?
If there are specific images you want—or don’t want—be sure to let me know. Do not forget to mention if you have any specific things you want to include in your photos such as family heirloom, your ultrasound, baby's future shoes or even baby blanket or favourite childhood toy.
Important detail
Almost all of your pictures will feature your hands, therefore you want them to look good!
Before the session
Make sure to have a small snack and drink lots of water prior to your session.
Bring any additional refreshments and supplies you believe you'll need for the duration of the maternity shoot.
NO STRESS
It's a significant day that allows you to express your joy, pride, and astonishment at the new life that is growing inside of you. Try your best to relax and not worry about your session, even though it's easier said than done. You will be led through each pose and position by me. I will help you with everything so you look amazing!
All you need to do is to be natural, beautiful self :)
